What is the tearfree thing? I use cachyos light and with x11 i don't have tearing? I did have some weird glitches sometimes but I don't quite understand what it is necessary for.

Also, you gotta change the location of it in the post install section (put it closer to the top where there's the discussion about gray screens), and do not use a title header (use more #)

I got tearing in chromium videos like YouTube and Crunchyroll before adding it. It adds a triple buffer to eliminate it, by default xfce doesn't enable it (you can check yourself). It also helps in games to but may be less noticeable if vsync is on.
